Alliance Athletics
From 50 to 300 Members with Kilo
When Scott Drapeau opened Alliance Athletics in 2022, his goal was to build a gym where everyone felt safe and included. What began as an 800 sq. ft. space with 50 members quickly grew after he added Kilo’s Gym Lead Machine (GLM) to streamline lead nurture and communication.
Within a year, membership tripled, the gym expanded to 4,000 sq. ft., and Scott brought billing and memberships onto Kilo’s Gym Management Software to unify operations. Today, Alliance Athletics is home to more than 300 members—and a community that’s strong, welcoming, and proudly inclusive. Scott’s vision paid off. Here’s a snapshot of where the business is today:

The Problem
Alliance Athletics was growing fast, but fragmented tools made it hard to keep up. Memberships ran through Zen Planner, leads were tracked in a Google Doc, and without a proper CRM, consistent follow-up was nearly impossible. Scheduling small-group and 1:1 sessions was a constant headache, and even sending an email blast meant manually resizing images.
Support was slow—responses took days—and Scott had to handle encrypted payment exports on his own. To justify expanding into the remaining retail bays, he needed 100–150 members, but the systems in place couldn’t support that kind of growth. He didn’t want to work 16-hour days anymore.
The Kilo Solution
Scott moved to Kilo in stages—first to capture lead demand and then to run the entire business on a single platform.
Gym Lead Machine
Kilo launched a fast, on-brand website designed to convert local traffic, integrated directly into Gym Lead Machine.
Within two weeks, Scott experienced a significant increase in organic leads.
GLM’s visual pipeline and tasking system enabled follow-up to become an easy process, while automations delivered immediate SMS/email replies, ensuring no prospect went unanswered.
Kilo Gym Management Software
With momentum building, Scott unified billing and memberships on Kilo’s gym management software.
Packages and follow-on packages streamlined trials and upgrades; processing “just worked,” removing billing friction.
For Scott, the real difference was having a website, CRM, and member management system that operated as a single unit, allowing him to run it from his phone.
Human support that behaves like a partner.
During the payment data migration, Kilo’s team provided step-by-step guidance and fast replies, same day before 3 p.m., local time, or the next morning otherwise. They also shipped product features Scott requested (e.g., follow-on packages).
Scott Drapeau
Founder, Alliance Athletics
“Without Kilo, it (the gym) would be a disaster. I’d be frustrated all the time. Now everything is streamlined and lets me focus on growing the gym and living my life.”

Outcome / Benefits
Kilo didn’t just add tools; it changed the tempo of the business, freeing Scott to build, lead, and live.
Accelerated Membership Growth
Alliance grew from 50 to 300 members, with early demand arriving almost immediately after the GLM launch. That growth funded a clear, confident facility expansion path: 800 to 4,000 sq. ft.
Platform for New Revenue
With the core gym stable, Scott is spinning up digital offerings like Silly Goose Lifting Club, lightweight subscriptions and online coaching without, compromising the in-gym member experience.
Time Back & Quality of Life
With Kilo’s unified platform, Scott went from working 60-hour weeks to about 12–16 per week hours—mostly training clients while managing everything else from his phone. Automated follow-ups, integrated payments, and a 24/7 access model keep the gym running smoothly without constant oversight.
That freedom has changed his life. He spends more time outdoors with his kids, his wife has stepped back from full-time work, and he finally has balance. As Scott puts it, “I can pick my kids up from school in the afternoon. I can leave the gym for the day and know things are handled.”
Kilo didn’t just help him grow his business—it gave him his time, and his life, back.
Team Strength & Culture
Alliance Athletics channels its growth into people. Scott believes a strong business starts with a supported team. Coaches earn well above industry averages—$30/hour for small-group sessions, $42/hour for personal training, and two weeks of paid vacation each year.
Those investments have built loyalty and leadership. The gym’s lead coach is now stepping into an operations role, taking on daily management and mentoring responsibilities to keep the team thriving.
For Scott, that’s the real success: creating a workplace where good people can build stable, fulfilling careers in fitness.
Conclusion
Alliance Athletics proves that growth doesn’t have to mean grind. By unifying his website, CRM, and membership software under Kilo—and pairing those systems with a clear, inclusive brand—Scott built a gym where people feel safe to train and a business strong enough to support the life he wants to live.
